José María Torre y Bárbara Mori, más unidos que nunca

La relación entre Bárbara Mori y José María Torre permanece más estable que nunca. A pesar de sus múltiples compromisos laborales, como la estancia actual de la actriz en la India, en donde se encuentra filmando.
“Hablamos diario obviamente, nada, pues obviamente me da mucha pena que no esté acá, pero la verdad es que chamba es la chamba”. “Yo creo que así va a ser nuestra vida, estaremos separados pero obviamente apoyándonos”, señaló el diseñador.
Aunque la palabra matrimonio todavía no es de interés para ellos.
“Ahora no eh, la verdad es que no, yo creo que cuando lo necesitemos se hablará en su momento pero ahora estamos muy bien, no está en mis planes pero un futuro ya veremos”, aclaró Torre.
José María fue cuestionado acerca de la etapa como mamá que vive su ex novia, Camila Sodi, al lado de Diego Luna.
“Les mando felicitaciones a los dos y qué padre que sean padres, son dos buenos tipos la verdad, ojalá les vaya muy bien”.
Chema presentó su nueva colección de ropa, en el segundo aniversario de su propia línea como diseñador y estuvo acompañado de toda su familia.
“Creo que seguimos aprendiendo con la marca, la industria de la moda aquí en México es muy pequeña”.
“Otro año, más de ocho, que la verdad me siento muy orgullosa de mi hermano”, dijo su hermana, Andrea Torre.
El también productor habló del nuevo filme que se encuentra rodando, en lo que significaría su regreso como actor.
“Es un proyecto muy profundo, no puedo hablar mucho del proyecto porque ya se hablará en su momento pero está increíble”, finalizó José María.

Bárbara Mori será la gran ausente

Hoy jueves José María Torre festeja dos años de estar al frente de su tienda de ropa, en donde lo que se ofrece son diseños del también actor. Amigos del medio artístico y su gran familia estarán presentes en una reunión para desear que José María siga destacando en la industria textil como lo ha hecho hasta ahora. La gran ausente de la ocasión será su novia Bárbara Mori, quien está trabajando en la India.

Barbara turns singer

Before she became a model-actress, Mexican starlet Barbara Mori harboured dreams of being a singer. It is learnt that Barbara will be singing a song in Anurag Basu’s Kites starring Hrithik Roshan. Even though details are not available, Basu and Hrithik are keen that Barbara renders a track.
The source reveals that the song won’t be a full-fledged track, but a verse or a few lines. “Barbara during one of her interactions with Rakesh Roshan told him that she loves singing. She has a good voice and even wants to cut an album in the future. Since her track revolves around a girl who can’t communicate in the same language as Hrithik, the film will have her sing a few lines in Spanish.”
The song will be part of a scene where Hrithik sees her for the first time and she’s humming a few lines of the song. “The length of the song isn’t finalised, but it will definitely be a part of the film. Since Barbara speaks Span-ish she’s comfortable with the language and at ease singing it.” Rajesh Roshan scores the film’s music.

Chema da su apoyo a Bárbara en la India

Cuando hay amor, la distancia no es un problema. Esto lo ha podido constatar José María Torre, pues, ahora que Bárbara Mori se encuentra filmando en India la cinta ‘Kites’, el actor ha viajado a ese país para acompañarla en su aventura.
“Acabo de regresar de verla; estuve dos semanas y regresé hace una semana más o menos. Ella está encantada, es una película increíble. La gente que está involucrada no saben qué lindas personas, toda la gente de India es increíble”, dijo José María, quien la noche del sábado acudió a la inauguración de la tienda Harley-Davidson Santa Fe.
En su viaje, el también diseñador pudo constatar que su chica no podía estar en mejores manos, pues la producción de ‘Kites’, que dirige Anurag Basu, la trata como reina.
“La consienten muchísimo. Ella no es muy fanática de la comida hindú; entonces, le hacen comida especial. La tienen muy consentida y se lo merece, totalmente”.
Cuando no puede ir a verla, Bárbara le llama por teléfono, y es así como le cuenta la experiencia de estar en una cinta de acción.
“Es una película muy grande. Ella se está divirtiendo muchísimo, es una película de acción con un presupuestote; entonces, está muy contenta. Hablamos diario.
“Es un ejercicio que no había hecho, no había hecho acción y más acción de las grandes ligas”, expresó. Mientras Bárbara continúa su participación en el filme, José María alista los detalles del rodaje de Caída Libre, cinta con la que ambos se estrenarán como productores cinematográficos.

Producer- Director Rakesh Roshan picks up a little known Hollywood Latin actress, Barbara Mori, for his next film Kites. Of course, all Film Kraft Productions are born with letter ‘K’.
Barbara Mori is of Uruguayan, Japanese, and Mexican heritage. She has only one blockbuster film to her credit- La mujer de mi hermano (2005). Mori was invited to modeling by fashion designer Marcos Toledo; she later became a telenovela actress with TV Azteca. The actress has her own lingerie line, and uses her image to support charitable causes such as the fight against breast cancer in Mexico. Incidentally, recently she presented the 8th Annual Latin Grammy Awards.
Penelope Cruz, Madonna of Madrid, was being considered for the role. She was finally voted out as she supposedly looked older than Hrithik. Model Brunah Abdullah had also been auditioned for the role. She performed an extremely bold item song for Anubhav Sinha’s Cash recently. But even she was dropped.
The casting for Kites is taking place in Mumbai and Los Angeles with the help of Director Anurag Basu. Rakesh Roshan had four names for Holywood actresses in mind. He even talked to their agents. However, they were not able to give him dates. Eventually he zeroed down on Mori. From back home the film will star actress Kangana Ranaut. You will remember Kangana from Gangster and Life in a Metro, which were also Anurag’s successful ventures.
Directer Anurag Basu will have Mori and Hrithik salsa to amazing musical compositions by Rajesh Roshan.
“The girl’s role is extremely bold. We want to show love has no barriers. Actually, we have decided to cast someone international, someone Latin American or Brazilian, because that’s the personality and profile of the leading lady in my film”, says Anurag.
Rakesh’s first choice was Anil Kapoor’s daughter, Sonam. However, Sonam was dropped since she comes across as a very conservative person. Says Hrithik, “I’d love to work with Sonam. But not on this project. The role doesn’t do justice to her….this would be my first international project.Yes, I am nervous.” Now we get it- why Mori.

Rakesh Roshan Shoots New Film In New Mexico

Seem Hrithik has become quite the jet setter. As we know, he flew to several foreign locations for Dhoom 2, well now he and his dad are repeating this pattern for their new film, Kites.
Kites is Rakesh Roshan’s latest project, and will be a truly international production, the first shooting schedule is taking place in New Mexico, with the rest if the US shoot to take place in Las Vegas and Los Angeles. The schedule will be completed sometime in December in India. Featuring son Hrithik Roshan, and also Mexican star Barbara Mori, star of telenovelas (Mexican soap operas) and the Mexican film “La Mujer de Mi Hermano”, and Kangana Ranaut. Anurag Basu will direct.
New Mexico has been a popular destination to film for Hollywood studios. Films have bee shot in New Mexico for many decades, in the ‘heyday’ of the Hollywood western, it was often New Mexico that served as the location. The Hollywood blockbusters Young Guns and Young Guns 2 were shot there, as well as No Country For Old Men, and the USA Network show In Plain Sight – to name a few. Now Bollywood is catching on.
Leading international business publication, New Mexico Business Weekly said, “A major star in his home country, Roshan is coming to New Mexico with the new film Kites, produced by his father, Rakesh Roshan, a Bollywood veteran.”
Anurag Basu announced that he will shoot his feature film in the south western desert state and Governor Bill Richardson’s office confirmed that the love story will be filmed in Albuquerque and Santa Fe between July 28th and September 15th. Basu is expected to rely upon more than 100 local actors during production.
Since 2003, more than 100 films and television projects have been shot in New Mexico, bringing about $1.8 billion to the economy, according to Richardson’s office.
According to Richardson’s office, more than 100 major film and television projects have been shot in the state since 2002, and Kites is the latest. Film officials said this production is indicative of an increasing international interest by producers in New Mexico. Lisa Strout, director of the state film office, said the flood of international projects includes several from India, as well as an Italian film. In addition to a Spanish production company that was wooed by Richardson on a recent trip. She also has received inquiries from television series productions in Germany and London.
“Foreign filmmakers are expanding their content or storylines to incorporate American themes,” she said. “Bollywood films are flocking to the U.K. and have a sudden interest in the U.S., particularly the West.”
Eric Witt, director of media industries development in Gov. Bill Richardson’s office, said it is a reflection of the increased attention New Mexico got from the Academy Award nominations. Films made in New Mexico garnered 14 Oscar nominations this year, and one, “No Country For Old Men,” took top honors in numerous categories, including Best Picture.
However, Rakesh Roshan said the state’s film incentives, which include a 25 percent tax rebate on all production expenditures, were not among the reasons he opted for New Mexico. He was scouting locations in February when a friend suggested he visit the state.
Roshan said the scenery convinced him, “I can place a camera and shoot anywhere. It’s very beautiful.” The production will use about 125 local crew and background actors, he said. He thinks more Indian producers will come to New Mexico, particularly after his film is released, because of the attractive locations.
Kites is a love story / thriller about tells the story of a cosmopolitan man torn between his wife and his mistress. To make matters more difficult, the lovers don’t speak one another’s language. The narrative moves from Las Vegas, Nevada to New Mexico. Most of the shooting will be in Santa Fe, although some portions will be in Albuquerque.
Roshan has shot in many other countries, but this is the first time in the U.S. He said he wanted to give the new film a global look and show that “love has no language.”
Roshan is working on a distribution deal for the film, with plans for Asia, Latin America and Europe, but he did not have any details.

Participará ‘Cosas insignificantes’ en San Sebastián

La película hispano mexicana “Cosas insignificantes” ha sido elegida para participar en la 56 edición del Festival internacional de Cine de San Sebastián.
MADRID, España.- La película hispano mexicana “Cosas insignificantes” ha sido elegida para participar en la 56 edición del Festival internacional de Cine de San Sebastián.
Lo hará en la sección Nuevos Directores.
La ópera prima de Andrea Martínez competirá con Amateurs, de Gabriel Velázquez; “El truco del mango”, de Santiago Zannou, y “Chicos normales”, de Daniel Hernández.
Y si gana obtendrá 90 mil euros.
“Cosas insignificantes” cuenta la historia de Esmeralda, una niña de 13 años que tiene una extraña obsesión: colecciona objetos perdidos, olvidados o tirados por gente que no conoce, y los guarda en una caja que tiene debajo de la cama.
El largometraje narra la historia de tres objetos de la caja y de la gente que hay detrás de ellos. Todos incapaces de comunicarse con la persona a la que aman.
La cinta es interpretada por Paulina Gaytán en el papel de Esmeralda; Bárbara Mori, que interpreta a Paola, una mujer enferma de leucemia; Fernando Luján; un sicólogo infantil; y los actores españoles Lucía Jiménez y Carmelo Gómez.
La 56 edición del festival de cine de San Sebastián se va a celebrar del 18 al 27 de septiembre. El cineasta Jonathan Demme, ganador de un Oscar al Mejor Director por “El silencio de los corderos” y realizador de “Philadelphia”, será el presidente del jurado.

INICIA FILMACIÓN DE LA CINTA BOLLYWOODENSE “KITES”

En la unión americana será donde mañana 16 de Agosto inician las filmaciones de la cinta producida por el cine hindú compartiendo créditos con la superestrella de Hrithik Roshan y Kangana Ranaut.
Bajo la producción de Rakesh Roshan y dirigida por Anurag Basu esta cinta es uno de los primeros intentos de producir cine en locaciones americanas siendo el primer encuentro concreto entre Hollywood y la industria más poderosa del celuloide mundial en la India quienes crean más de 500 producciones anualmente con 16 lenguas diferentes dentro de sus alcances a los que ya se ah unido el actor Sylvestre Stallone, Will Smith y el director de cine Steven Spielberg quien analiza una alianza de 500 millones de dólares entre DreamWorks y Reliance.
La participación de la actriz México/Uruguaya es una gran oportunidad al catapultarse internacionalmente al obtener el papel de una bailarina de Las Vegas a quien ya conocen en la India definiéndola como “la poseedora de un cuerpo increíble”, puntualizando esta será vestida, “con trajes de colores de forma muy casual pero en función de su personaje con una gran cantidad de velos.”
La Cinta “Kites” presenta la historia de Hrithik essaying, un hombre adicto al juego y atormentado por el amor de su esposa (Kangana Ranaut) y su amante (Barbara Mori). En dicho largometraje el cual será hablado totalmente en Inglés habrá persecuciones y mucha acción.
El primer calendario de rodaje iniciará el 16 de Agosto en los Estados Unidos, en lugares como Nuevo México, Las Vegas y Los Ángeles y se completará en 80 días. El segundo calendario será en La India en el mes de Diciembre y será igual o aún más extenso que el filmado en América. Finalizando esto el trabajo de Kites se trasladará al estudio de Postproducción en donde se trabajarán aspectos técnicos y los toques finales.
Mori destacó el productor Rakesh Roshan la eligió tras ver la cinta chilena “La Mujer de mi Hermano”, haciéndolo viajar a México para conocerla. Tiempo después fue en Los ángeles California donde se daría la segunda visita y una más en La India en donde la actriz y productora se mantuvo una semana con el equipo técnico para conocerse al igual que con el protagonista Hrithik Roshan y así darle la imagen a su personaje.

Hrithik Roshan was honoured at a function in New Mexico. The actor was there with Kites co-star, along with Barbara Mori. The event was hosted by Bibiji Inderjit Kaur, who is the goodwill ambassador in New Mexico.
A source that attended the party reveals that locals from all over the place thronged the party to have a glimpse of Hrithik and Barbara.
The actor has been shooting for Kites in the nearby mountainous area for a sequence involving car crashes.
Hrithik spent most of the time mingling with the locals.
Rakesh Roshan was also present. One of the locals who attended the event, says, “Hrithik was the star attraction for the event.
Since it was held inside the house of one of the locals, there wasn’t much security and people filled in each and every room. Kangana was missing from the cast, but Hrithik was seen introducing Barbara to everyone around. He even made sure she was comfortable and wasn’t left by herself.”
Hrithik, Barbara and Rakesh Roshan were given certificates and awards by the local officials honouring them.
